Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Skincare Regimen

Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Skincare Regimen

Do you sometimes feel that even though you put in so much effort to maintain your skin, you just don’t seem to notice any improvements? We have all been there at some point or another. We follow all the rules to the dot, and we still have dry and tired looking skin with a few spots here and there. So, why isn’t our skin transforming even though we are doing everything right?

It is usually because we are not doing it in the right order or the right way, so our skin is not able to absorb all that goodness from our products. It doesn’t matter how expensive your skincare products are if you aren’t using them in the right way. So, what is the right way to use skincare products to get the most out of our skincare regimen? Let’s find out!

Double Cleansing

When we wear makeup, our face wash or cleanser alone isn’t going to get rid of all the products from our skin. There is a residue of makeup that is left behind which will clog up pores and cause issues on our skin if it isn’t removed completely. Use an oil cleanser with a cotton pad to remove your make up before you use a face wash. This way, you can ensure that your skin will be squeaky clean after you wash your face using your cleanser.

Toning

Do you sometimes skip this essential step of toning? A toner provides many benefits to your skin. It closes pores, removes any residue of makeup that is left behind and also has ingredients that contribute to the overall health of your skin. Doing this can ensure that your skin is extremely clean and your moisturiser will get absorbed very easily.

Exfoliation

Exfoliation when done the right way can provide a lot of benefits for your skin. It will help with texture, roughness, getting rid of dead skin, improve complexing and so much more. Exfoliate two to three times a week using a product that is suited to your skin type. Over exfoliation can lead to dry skin and wrinkles so don’t exfoliate more than the recommended amount of time.

Serums

If you are nearing your 30s, now would be the best time to start incorporating a serum to your skincare routine. Serums are able to penetrate your skin’s deepest layers and heal from within. Applying a serum while you skin is still a bit damn will help you achieve the maximum benefit from the product.

Now that you know the right way to take care of your skin, you will be sporting glowing, radiant skin in no time!
